Mazen Aziz is an award-winning architect, aspiring aviation professional, and avid swimmer. Growing up outside of Cairo, he was inspired by his family to pursue a competitive swimming career in the United States, securing an athletic scholarship at Southern Illinois University to pursue his Master's degree in Architecture (‘14). Since then, Mazen's professional career has taken him to some of the world’s most recognized architectural firms such as Skidmore, Owings & Merril, and RTKL.

First Flight
Having grown up with uncles in the professional aviation space, Mazen took his first cockpit ride and knew it would be a lifelong passion.

Swimming Career Develops
Through multiple age group and national competitions, he began to realize his talents could afford him opportunities at the international level.

Selected to represent Egypt at the 2012, London Olympic Games.

Aviation Career
Logging over 850+ hours, Mazen has completed his Instrument License, Single and Multi-Engine Commercial License with the hopes of moving into the commercial aviation industry.

Over the years as a professional architect, Mazen has worked for several worlds largest Architecture firms such as Skidmore, Owings & Merril, RTKL and Woods Bagot.
